The National Road Safety Alliance (NRSA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting road safety through education, advocacy, technology, and community-driven initiatives across the Philippines.
Through innovative programs, strategic partnerships, and digital solutions, NRSA works to reduce road crashes, improve public awareness, and create safer communities for all road users.
We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Mobile Application Developer to help build and enhance the NRSA Mobile App, a platform designed to engage communities, reward safe road behavior, provide educational resources, and connect citizens with road safety initiatives nationwide.
Position Overview
The Mobile Application Developer will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining the NRSA Mobile App. Working closely with NRSA leadership, designers, and program teams, the developer will help transform road safety concepts into practical digital solutions that create measurable social impact.
This is a volunteer remote position ideal for developers who want to contribute their technical expertise to a meaningful national cause while building their portfolio and leadership experience.

Key Responsibilities
Mobile App Development
- Design, develop, test, and deploy mobile application features.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Develop intuitive, user-friendly, and accessible interfaces.
- Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Troubleshoot bugs and resolve technical issues.
Feature Development
Support the implementation of features such as:
- Road Safety Rewards Program
- Driver and Rider Safety Challenges
- Sponsor and Partner Promotions
- Community Reporting Tools
- Safety Education Modules
- Gamification and Achievement Systems
- User Profiles and Digital Rewards
- Push Notifications and Alerts
- Volunteer and Event Management Features
- Data Analytics and Reporting Dashboards
Technical Operations
- Integrate APIs and third-party services.
- Ensure secure handling of user data and privacy compliance.
- Maintain application documentation and version control.
- Participate in code reviews and technical planning discussions.
- Recommend technologies and improvements for long-term scalability.
